Your mission is to create a manipulation that somehow expresses bravery. You will not be given anymore information than that. How you choose to portray it is up to you and only you!
Judging: This contest will be judged by me. I will not accept other judging offers.
I will not be judging by personal preference nor will I choose any "friend" to win. I will be judging based on technique, originality, and effort. I will not go easy on you if you are a beginner, your art will be judged just as fairly as the others.

The theme for this contest is “Looking Forward Looking Back”.
What does that mean exactly? Well we’re challenging deviants to tell us a story in words, a comic, or even a single scene. Your story focuses on what was most memorable to you (can be good or bad) from 2012 OR what you’re looking forward to (or dreading) in 2013; this is a two category contest, you cannot tell both stories in one deviation, so if you choose to do them both you must have two separate deviations. Welcome
This is the home page for my manip of the year contest! In case you couldn't already tell. This will be running the rest of the year and will be judged and the winners chosen at around Jan 3rd. (that is just to let the holidays pass) What is the contest you ask? It will showcase the best art of the 2012 year! There will be several various topics (scroll down) A team of judges and I will look at the entries and choose a few exceptional pieces of art throughout the year. The winners will get a few points and maybe a few commissions, but unlike other contests, there will not be a huge list of prizes. This would be more like a Grammy thing. More or less bragging rights over the actual prizes.

Theme: Spring time. Create an equine manipulation and/or digital painting that represents spring and the new life that it brings. This is pretty much free to interpretation as long as the manipulation conveys “new life,” in some sort of way. Pretty simple.

Going and Coming Home

You will have to create TWO pieces for this contest. One That fits along with Going, leaving, anything along those lines, and then another one with the Theme of coming home. Let your mind run wild here, because I WILL be judging on originality.

Judging:
This part I have not fully decided but I will probably have close friends help me with this as this Contest is symbolic of me leaving for college and me coming home, so yeah it is a little personal.
Judging will be based on... Originality, Technique, Effort, and Overall Style.
